Facial Fillers |
|
Good plastic surgery makes use of all available methods available which are most suitable on a patient without compromising on patient’s well being and standard care. Facial fillers or dermal fillers is another less invasive method of achieving younger and healthier looking skin and face without the dramatic effect known after plastic surgery. In other words, friends and relatives will just notice you look better but will not suspect that plastic surgery was done. |

Facial fillers are substances injected into or under the skin. They can be used for a variety of treatments from the smoothening of wrinkles to plumping up of the lips. They can even be used to sort out minor facial irregularities or asymmetry. Examples of facial fillers or dermal fillers available on the market are Restylane and Macrolane.
But it must be noted that facial fillers by and large refer to synthetic materials such as hyaluronic acid and polylactic acid. Grafts taken from the patient and transplanted elsewhere on the patient are known as autogenous grafts and have a more predictable effect being part of the patient. They are less likely to encounter foreign body reactions and extrusion through the skin.
Any biomaterials transplanted is not permanent and have a tendency to resorb.
